The Columbia University Clinic for Anxiety and Related Disorders (CUCARD) is a specialty clinic in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry of Columbia University. Dr. Anne Marie Albano, the Clinic Director, Dr. Moira Rynn, Division Chair and CUCARD Medical Director, and their staff of licensed clinical psychologists, child psychiatrists, advanced post doctoral fellows in psychology, and advanced psychology externs provide treatment to patients across the lifespan.

CUCARD specializes in delivering empirically-supported cognitive-behavioral therapies for children, adolescents, young adults, and adults suffering from anxiety or anxiety-related disorders. Our staff has expertise in the treatment of anxiety and related disorders, including, Social Anxiety Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Separation Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder/Agoraphobia, Specific Phobias, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Mood Disorders, and Disruptive Behavior Disorders.  Psychiatric evaluation, second opinions and consultation for medication treatment also available from our staff psychiatrists.

CUCARD offers a variety of clinical services, including a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation, individual and group cognitive behavioral treatment, family therapy, and parenting workshops. Our therapists collaborate as appropriate with school or medical personnel and other mental health providers to develop comprehensive treatment plans for each individual patient.

CUCARD offers several evidence based treatment programs, including the Coping Cat Program, cognitive behavioral group therapy for adolescents (CBGT-A) and adults (CBGT), and specialized programs for young adults (LEAP) with anxiety disorders as well as Parent-Child Interaction Therapy and School Refusal Behavior.

In addition, CUCARD staff offer education and information services to the broader community including talks or workshops for parent associations, school consultations and training, teacher workshops, and training and consultation on implementing CBT for mental health providers.
