Sylvia Plath was an American poet, novelist, and short story writerwho wrote a semi-autobiographical novel, "The Bell Jar." The book'sprotagonist, is a bright, ambitious college student who begins toexperience a mental breakdown while interning for a fashion magazine inNew York.
