The New York State Psychiatric Institute consists of two buildings in northern Manhattan, one (the Pardes Building) is at 1051 Riverside Drive, and the other (the Lawrence G. Kolb Research Laboratories, also referred to as the Kolb Building) is at 40 Haven Avenue. They are connected by a bridge that goes over Riverside Drive. Unless you are traveling by car, we recommend coming to the the Pardes via the entrance at 40 Haven Avenue.

If you're taking the subway: Take the A, C, or 1 train to the 168th Street Station (168th and Broadway).
If you're taking the bus: Take the M2, M3, M4, M5, or M100 bus to 168th Street. Walk west 168th Street to destination
Then walk west on 168th Street, past the hospital complex (on your left) and cross Fort Washington Avenue. As the road curves to the right, it becomes Haven Avenue. Enter at 40 Haven Avenue, which is the Kolb Building. You can then take the internal skybridge/walkway over to the 6th floor of the Pardes Building, which is 1051 Riverside Drive.
From the Cross Bronx Expressway: Stay in the right-hand lane as you approach the George Washington Bridge. Take the "Last Exit in New York." On the Exit ramp immediately follow the signs to the Henry Hudson Parkway. Immediately take Riverside Drive (Exit 15).
From the George Washington Bridge/New Jersey: Stay in the right-hand lane as you approach Manhattan. Immediately turn onto the Henry Hudson Parkway going south (downtown). Immediately take Riverside Drive (Exit 15) on the right.
From Downtown Manhattan or Brooklyn: Take the West Side Highway uptown. Immediately past the George Washington Bridge turnoff exit to the right on the Riverside Drive (Exit 15).
Then, on Riverside Drive, turn left at 165th Street and left on Ft. Washington Avenue (at light) to destination. Or, turn right on Ft. Washington Avenue to the parking garage (on your right).
